Getting Started
Ok, let's deploy some curated ERC20's
Prerequisites
Web3 Wallet
Before you can use Coin Genie, ensure you have a Web3-enabled wallet like MetaMask. This wallet will serve as your gateway to the Ethereum blockchain, allowing you to deploy tokens and manage them. It's also essential to have some Ether (ETH) in your wallet to cover transaction fees.
Navigation the Coin Genie Platform
Home Page
The starting point for your Coin Genie experience. Here, you'll find an introduction to the platform's primary features and a clear path to token deployment.
Crafting your unique ERC20 token on Coin Genie is a breeze. With our user-centric design and clear directives, you'll have your token up and running in no time.
Token Deployment
Navigate to the deployment page ("Create Your Token Now") to begin creating your token.
Token Name
This is where you designate the full title for your token. An example could be "Coin Genie Token".
Token Symbol
This is a succinct abbreviation, typically 3-5 characters, for your token. For instance, "CGT".
Total Supply
Determines the total number of tokens that will be created.
Advanced Options
Maximum Holdings per Wallet
Designed to enable token administrators to control the distribution of the Coin Genie ERC20 tokens:
Purpose: Set a limit on the number of tokens a single wallet can hold. This is particularly useful to prevent the concentration of tokens in a few wallets and ensure a wider distribution.
Input: Users are provided with a field to specify the maximum number of tokens a wallet can hold as a percent of the total supply.
Guidance: This is typically around to less than 5% of the total supply of the tokens.
Fee Percentage and Recipient
Provides users with an interface to adjust the tax rate and receiver of tax fees for the Coin Genie ERC20 tokens:
Function: This feature allows token owners to define the percentage of tax applied when the Coin Genie token is purchased and who the tax goes too.
Input Field: Users can specify the desired tax rate and fee recipient.
Implications: Adjusting the tax rate can have implications on how the token is perceived on various platforms. For instance, a tax rate greater than 5% may result in the token being flagged on some decentralized exchanges and token screeners.
π§Note: Always be sure to understand the ramifications of adjusting the tax rates and consult with the community or token stakeholders before making significant changes.
Viewing Your Tokens
Navigate to /<address>/tokens
to view a list of tokens that you've created with Coin Genie.
Token Interaction
Users can access a comprehensive overview of their Coin Genie token. It offers insights into:
Ownership: Discover who owns the token and has the rights to modify its parameters.
Token Pair Details: Understand how your token pairs with other currencies, enabling trading.
Supply Metrics: Gauge the total supply, circulating tokens, and other related metrics.
Tax Rate: Understand the tax rates applicable to your token.
